Unofficial Community
The past unofficial Jacksonville Linux Users Group has rich history of people spanning several decades with both newbies and old-timers with various community histories, and history must be learned from or it will be repeated. These pages are not intended to disparage nor praise anyone, they are simply presenting facts of people's conduct in the community, and the resulting impact upon the community from their conduct and actions, and at times, lack of action.
The goal of the information is to improve the community, to improve community conduct, and prevent issues of the past from repeating, or simply, holding back future progress! This information does not confirm nor infer any membership in the official Legal Jacksonville Linux Users Group Inc. organization, simply that, these people were associated with the past unofficial Jacksonville Linux Users Group community at some point in the past and/or present.
Unofficial Leadership
The past unofficial Jacksonville Linux Users Group has had various forms of leadership, and only at one point in history, from 2003-2004, was it ever a legal leadership, proper legal structure and official legal titles. Newbies
The past unofficial Jacksonville Linux Users Group has some newer people that have become active in the community. This reflects people who have become involved in community affairs since 2020, herein referred to as Newbies. This is not to reflect that they are new to Linux, just junior to the community.
Old-Timers
The past unofficial Jacksonville Linux Users Group has people that have been active in the community for a prolonged period of time. This reflects people who have been involved in community affairs prior to 2020, herein referred to as Old-Timers. This is not to reflect that they are elder in age, just senior to the community.
