Corporate
The Jacksonville Linux Users Group Inc. is a Florida Non-Profit corporation, registered as 501(c)(3) under the IRC with the IRS. For more legal information, please view our legal page. Donors can deduct contributions they make under IRC Section 170, along with tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers, or gifts under Sections 2055, 2106, or 2522.
Being a Florida Non-Profit corporation, properly registered with both the IRS and Florida Department of Revenue, the Jacksonville Linux Users Group Inc. is able to make tax free purchases, further extending the power of donated funds! They will not be used to pay sales taxes!
Bank
Our banking partner is American Express, where we have our non-profit corporate checking account. We have chosen American Express Business Checking due to their superior offerings, no monthly fees, rewards, and interest-bearing checking account with the highest interest rate for business without any qualifying activity.
Donations
We have partnered with Give Lively as our donation platform for accepting donations from donors and sponsors. Give Lively provides superior donation and campaign widgets, among other tools that may be utilized in the future. Give Lively handles the forms and interfaces donors and sponsors use to donate money, which is then handed off to the donor's/sponsor's choice of payment processors.
